Cha Cha Slide!

We have been learning how to do the 'Cha Cha slide' on a morning on the playground this half term. This was started as part of our well-being week at the beginning of June. During this week we were learning how to make friends, stay well and be active. Today we did our performance for our parents. Here are some photos to share with you. Can you work out which part of the song each photo is from?

Mirfield in Bloom

School have taken part in Mirfield in Bloom. Staff, parents and children have worked hard to develop the school grounds, making the place calmer and more attractive for all. We have created many areas including a bug hotel and a wish tree.

Judges have been out to view the school site and left impressed with the presentations given by children. We will find out the results of the competition after we return to school in September.

Fingers crossed!

The Potato Challenge

Over the last few months all classes have taken part in the Co-op potato challenge. The challenge was to see who could grow the largest potato. Each class had to care for their potato and make sure it was watered.

Today (18th July) was the day that we have all been waiting for! The winning class, with a potato weighing in at 850g, is class 5. Well done to all involved.

Year 5 were presented with their prize of a bird table. We look forward to seeing this in use at school.
