Miss Dixon supports in class every day.
Mrs Holbert supports in class every afternoon.
This half term, our topic has been all about healthy foods. We have read lots of stories about different fruits and vegetables including Oliver's Vegetables, Handa's Surprise and Supertato.
We loved reading Supertato! The Evil Pea came into our classroom and took all of our fruit! We used our growing phonics knowledge to make Wanted posters for the Evil Pea and designed and made traps in our classroom to stop him. Please look through the photos to see our brilliant work.
We have also practised recognising and making patterns by making our own fruit kebabs with a variety of fruit.
We have worked really hard to develop our mathematical knowledge. We have enjoyed learning all about 3D shapes. We have practised naming 3D shapes using mathematical vocabulary accurately and have begun to describe 3D shapes. We have made models using shapes and have looked for 3D shapes all around us.
We have been learning all about minibeasts this half term. We have learnt about the lifecycle of butterflies and have watched our own caterpillars turn into cocoons. Miss Garrick is going to look after them over the holiday and take some pictures when they turn into butterflies. We have learnt lots of facts about minbeasts and have used our knowledge to create observational drawings. We have also made our own minibeast using clay.
